What I’m Watching

We’re diving back into Schitt’s Creek. It’s just so good. We’re getting just as much enjoyment this time around as we did the first two times we watched it.

What I’m Reading

I’m reading Beach Read by Emily Henry! I know this was a super popular book last year so I decided to try it out. I LOVE it so far! It takes place in Michigan and it speaks to my West Michigan Girl soul. When I finish I’m going to read her new release, people we meet on vacation.

What I’m Eating

All the salads! We’ve perfected making chicken in our air fryer and my favorite way to eat it is on salads. I’ve been topping my lettuce with chicken, bacon, cheese, croutons, hard boiled eggs and honey mustard dressing. So simple. And SO good. I’ve eaten on every day for dinner this week. I’m going to turn into a salad soon.

What I’m Planning

Backyard stuff! We’re working hard on our backyard make over this weekend. We were doing so good but haven’t been home in a couple weekends now to continue our work. I’m super excited because we’re going to finish some staining, plant our living wall, hang new lights and finish up some painting in the area! It will feel almost finished by the end of the weekend and I can’t wait to have a pretty patio to sit on all summer long!

What I’m Excited About

That tomorrow is my Friday! I took a day off to take some time and do something for myself for the first time ever! I usually only take time off around the holidays or for a vacation. This Friday is purely a day that will be good for the soul. I’m getting my hair done for the first time in two years 😳 I hadn’t made it a priority for myself and then covid happened. But now, my beautiful cousin has graduated from Douglas J. Aveda and has a job at a super cute salon in Grand Rapids! So Friday I’m going to see her and Trev is tagging along so we can visit our old stomping grounds. I’m literally SO excited!

What Else Is New

Not a whole lot! Life has been stressful and busy lately, but I feel like it’s like that for everyone this time of year. Here’s to being a few weeks away from summer, when life slows down and the sun shines all day and the weather is beautiful and life is happier. I just can’t wait!
