#WhatUpWednesday

What up, what up my beautiful friends?! It’s another week and another Wednesday and I’m back today to keep my mind busy and away from politics for like 4.5 seconds.

But like… for real. SO if you’d like to take a break from the real world with me too, let’s hop into a #WhatUpWednesday… November edition!

What I’m Cooking for Thanksgiving

When I think of November the very first thing I think of is Thanksgiving! We’re celebrating with just my parents this year, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to have turkey dinner! I’ve shared my Thanksgiving Recipe Bible the past two years, and will be bringing you part three as the big day gets closer! But for those of you that like to plan ahead, check out my favorite Thanksgiving recipes here and here.

What I’m Wearing for Thanksgiving

I always love to plan a cute fall outfit for Thanksgiving because it’s usually the last time I dress for fall. After Thanksgiving I’m in all my winter clothes! This year, I’m not buying anything special since it’s just the four of us. I’ll probably pull out a pair of jeans and my KJP leaf sweater and call it good!

What I’m Buying

I started our Christmas shopping early, like always! I’m actually DONE with all my shopping except for Trev’s stocking stuffers! I’ve had gift ideas for everyone we buy for in mind for a few weeks now and have constantly been checking the stores these gifts were from to find a good deal! I don’t want to list the places because everyone we buy gifts for reads this blog, BUT start your gift shopping now. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

What I’m Doing To Cozy Up My Home

Guys. I tried. I tried to just stick with my fall decor until Thanksgiving… but it’s 2020 and I decided to do what makes me happy. Christmas has slowly started to make it’s way into our house and I’m so excited! I’m currently writing to you sitting by my brand new little Christmas tree (a way too expensive quarantine purchase) and I love it so much I could cry. (Maybe that’s the anxiety talking.) It doesn’t have decorations yet, but it does have lights and it’s making me SO DARN HAPPY. So I think this weekend, I’m going to switch out our living room decor to Christmas but keep the den and dining room Fall for Thanksgiving.

What I’m Doing To Prep for The Colder Weather

I’m not going to lie, this year I’m like a doomsday preper but for winter/ cold and flu season. After watching coronavirus cases rise in Michigan on the daily, I’m worried we’re going to have to quarantine again. And this time, I want to be prepared! So tomorrow, I’m sharing everything we’re doing to make sure our home is a cozy sanctuary should we have to spend the majority of the winter in it! Be sure to come back… you won’t want to miss it!

So my loves, what’s up with you this November? Before I go… let me leave you with this. I know the election is bringing up a lot of valid thoughts and feelings for so many people. We all have our own thoughts and our own opinions, that’s what makes us unique. So please remember, no matter the outcome, be kind to those around you. ๐Ÿ’•

I’m signing off for the night. I’ve got a heated blanket and a book waiting for me upstairs ๐Ÿ™‚

Xx.
