Hi Friends! Long time, no talk! I decided not to post on Thursday because the post that was going to go up just didn’t feel right. I’ll be sharing it later on, when life isn’t so weird.
Also on Thursday, my company made the difficult decision to close down for two weeks. It’s crazy because in the 30+ years they have been open, they’ve never had to close. We have no doubt that is the right decision, but Thursday evening and Friday were filled with a lot of stress and uncertainty. Luckily, we just kept reminding each other, it’s only two weeks!
These past couple months have been super stressful for me at work, so I’m beyond grateful to have the next two weeks at home. I’m going to use this time to rest, relax, and work on projects that are on my to do list. I’m also super grateful that I get the chance to help others and do my part to #StayHome.
So these next two weeks, you can look for Corona-cation inspired posts, like At Home Date Nights, Self Pamper Routines and maybe even a house update! (We’ll see how many of our projects we can get done.)
And now, since you know where I’ve been, let’s get into our weekend round up!
I got home from work late on Friday… I had a bunch of extra things to try to get done since we were closing up for two weeks. It was so weird leaving work, and I was super anxious about it until I got home. Trev did our daily routine of spraying me down with Lysol and then wiping my phone, keys and water cup with a Clorox wipe and I instantly felt relieved.
Relieved that I didn’t have to go out and expose myself to COVID-19, relieved that I wasn’t going to be a carry and accidentally expose someone else, and relieved that I had two weeks off for the first time since college. It’s crazy how open and laid back your weekend will look when you get the chance to drop all your stresses and worries at the door.
That night we snuggled in on the couch with our pizza from our favorite local pizza joint, and watched Frozen 2. (I cried like 30 times.)
Saturday we slept in and then got to work on some projects around the house! The first was to remove the old glass doors on our shower! (We’re working on remodeling our bathroom.) We also did a lot of relaxing, napping and we took some time to get some fresh air and take a walk around our neighborhood.
Today, I continued to work on the bathroom remodel and Trev worked on making videos for his athletes.
Now, we’re making dinner and watching Outlander! (We are obsessed.)
How were your weekends? I hope you spent them at home, and found a way to de-stress and relax in this crazy, stressful time!
Alright my loves, my pasta is done and I’m hungry! I’ll be back tomorrow 🙂
