SAY WHATTTTT? A freakin’ DECADE in review? When I first started planning my final posts for the year, I was going to end it with my typical “Year in Review”. But then I realized that we’re closing out on the 2010s, a decade has come and gone in the blink of an eye.
Thinking back to this time TEN years ago, I would have never imagined my life would be like it is now. The only thing I could have correctly guessed? That I would be starting the new decade as a 30 year old. HAHA
So today, we’re going wayyyy back down memory lane, to the year 2010. We’re looking at 10 years of growth, 10 years of change, 10 years of happiness and sadness, 10 years of accomplishments, 10 years of “failures” and most importantly, 10 years of love!
Speaking of love, before I get to recapping this past decade, today is a super special day for me and my hubby! NINE years ago today (how has it been that long?!) we went on our very first date. Little did we know way back then, it would be our very last first date ever. Kind of crazy to think about! We went out with our friends to ring in 2011. And even though he got us kicked out of the bar (long story!) we’ve been inseparable since that night. So cheers to NINE years of laughs, adventures and love, Babe. I’m so happy I get to do life with you!

Alright everyone, thank you all for joining me for 2019 and the last few years of this decade! I’m so happy that you’re here, and that we’re going to be ringing in 2020 together. I hope that this next year brings you 12 months of success, 52 weeks of laughter, 365 days of good luck, 8760 hours of fun, 525600 minutes of joy, 31536000 seconds of love and 1 whole year of happiness!
I’ll talk to you next decade 😉
Xx.

In the 2010s I…
Finished 4 years of college…

and graduated!

Lived in 4 cities…

and found a place to call “home”.

Traveled to many new places…

And revisited familiar ones that had stolen my heart.

I started new traditions…

and continued old ones.

I’ve met new people…

but kept the same few closest to me.

I said hard goodbyes to family members…

and added new ones.

I went on my last first date…

and said yes to forever.
I learned new trades…

and found my big girl job.

I tackled new challenges with Trev by my side…

and faced changes both good and bad.

I made countless trips to the Leelanau Peninsula…

including the best trip of all.

I watched a lot of sunsets…

and I took a lot of beach walks.

I went tons of dates…

including an international one!

I danced my heart out…

and took my final bow.

I cheered on my favorite teams…

and met TOM BRADY! (Kind of!)

I celebrated a lot of birthdays…

and left my 20s behind me.

I enjoyed a decades worth of seasons…

and holidays.

And lastly, I took some big risks… and started this blog.

Wow. What a freakin’ decade. I can’t wait to see what the next one has in store!
Usually, I do a yearly recap as my NYE post, but tbh, I felt like 2019 wasn’t our year. While we had some really wonderful moments, we had some seriously sad ones too. And besides, I only get the chance to recap a whole decade every 10 years! But, because I’m a firm believer in documenting every season of my life as it is, I figured I’d at least share a few pictures that really were the best moments of 2019 for us!

We sure did make a lot of memories this year! And these pictures? They aren’t even half of the things I blogged about this year! From DIYs to Travel Posts, Weekend Round Ups to Recipes and everything in between, you’ll find every 2019 post below! (Or use the search bar to your right to find specific posts!)
And, if you want to see what the last few years of my decade has looked like, click through my posts below!
Alright my loves. I’m officially ready to say goodbye to 2019! How are we celebrating tonight?! We’re ending the year like the Old Married Couple we are. Snuggled in at home with lots of food, drinks, puzzles and each other. Have a safe and wonderful New Year friends! I’ll see you 2020!
What an awesome post! Thank you for sharing your decade:)
