Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a very merry Sunday 🙂 We’re officially just 10 days away from Christmas, which means we spent our weekend doing all the Christmas-y things we wanted to do at home before we hit the road Friday for a week long trip to visit both of our families. (That’s right… I said A WEEK! I haven’t had a week off in over two years! Helloooo PTO.)
Our weekend started out on Friday with Date Night! We headed to one of our favorite spots, Granite City. They just put their Winter Warmer Ale on tap and I was super excited. I love a good Winter Ale and this one was fantastic! My date was pretty great too. 5 Stars. Would Recommend. 😉

After dinner we stopped by Trader Joe’s to pick up some Christmas treats to take to Trev’s parents house next weekend. Honestly, I have ZERO self control when it comes to snacks at Trader Joe’s.

We grabbed cookies while we were there then ran through Starbucks for hot chocolates before riding around to look at Christmas lights while we blared my two new favorite Christmas songs on repeat! (Tay Tay, obviously. And Thomas Rhett!)

When we got home we snuggled in to watch The Santa Clause… but your girl was EXHAUSTED. It had been such a long week that I was sound asleep before the opening credits came across the screen.
Saturday we slept in a bit before getting ready and heading to Detroit! It was game day for both the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams.

I love that I get to wear this pass while I’m there so I can sit wherever I want. I always pick up in the top (most people don’t sit up there) because I have a comfy chair, extra space and the best view! I also love that there isn’t many people up there to judge me while I shove pop corn in my mouth.

They literally have the best popcorn!

This cutie came to sit with me during the men’s game. Sorry ladies… he’s all mine! hahaha
When we got home from the games we decided to exchange stockings! We haven’t bought each other gifts in a couple of years, but like to do something small for each other! This year, Trev broke the rules and got me a little table just like the one in our living room for our den, and a Rae Dunn Christmas mug. He gave them both to me early saying it wasn’t breaking the rules if he gave them to me before Christmas 🙄
So I fully expected to just be giving him his stocking but he still filled mine too. He’s the sweetest!

The face you make when you get a Mouse Rat tshirt…

V. excited about his new catnip toys.

This morning I woke up and turned on some Christmas movies while I wrapped presents! How cute is our wrapping paper and bows this year?!

Once we were finished wrapping I cleaned the house and took pictures of our Christmas decor while Trev did our grocery shopping for the week. I’m sharing all our Christmas decor TOMORROW and I love it all SO much! Here’s a little sneak peak…

We spent this afternoon watching The Office and making a gingerbread house! I’m not trying to brag or anything, but we’re basically gingerbread house master builders now. Maybe next year we’ll enter a competition…

How were your weekends?! Did you do any fun, Christmas-y things?!
Alright my loves, I’m signing off for the night and snuggling into bed. I’ll be back tomorrow to share how we decorated our home for Christmas this year!
Have a great rest of your Sunday!
Xx.

Sounds like a fun weekend.. I headed up our American Legion Auxiliary Christmas party for the kids on Saturday. All the kiddos had a great time. Our granddaughter Emmy sat on Santa’s lap like a big girl, no tears, Easton not so impressed..lol. Saturday night was spent watching the parade of lights in our little town of Blissfield with our two grand babes, oh and their parents…It was cute. Sunday we finally got our outside decorations up better late than never. 🎄🎄
