Hi Friends! Happy, happy Monday! It is the most GORGEOUS day here. It FINALLY feels like Spring! The sun is shining, the flowers and blossoms are poppin’ and me? I’m wearing shorts because it’s finally over 70 degrees.
I hope you all had the most wonderful weekend! Mine was alright. I was in a super weird mood the entire weekend because I wasn’t heading home for Easter. But, we still managed to have a pretty great weekend!
My weekend started out Friday night when I got out of work. Trev was working at The Tigers so I was on my own. I headed to Culver’s (shocker, I know) and then snuggled in for the night. I found It Takes Two on Prime Video and High School Musical on the Disney Channel App on our Fire TV. I was PUMPED! It was a perfect snuggly night in.
Saturday we slept in and woke up to POURING rain. We had a Lacrosse game to get to and we knew it was going to be so gross out! We put on our rain gear and headed to see Trev’s girls play. I watched from the car because it was so cold and rainy!
After the lacrosse game we stopped to grab a late lunch at Panera before we headed to see his tennis girls finish out their season.
It was a long day of watching sports, but it was a good day! We finished the night with Bosco Sticks and pizza rolls (#healthy) at home.
Sunday we woke up and it was Easter! And me? I had approximately 32 melt downs. I was having a really hard time not being home with my family again for the second Easter in a row. Trev did everything he could to cheer me up. We bought everything we needed to make a mini dinner like my family makes, we bought all our favorite Easter candy, and we even got dressed up before we headed to brunch! However, nothing was able to quite replace the feeling of missing home, and I didn’t make it through the day without crying at least once an hour.
That being said, we still had a nice day! We ate breakfast at our favorite spot, Anna’s House. After breakfast we put together Jackson’s present for the Easter Bunny. Then, Trev’s dad called and said that he was bringing Grandma up for a visit. We got to spend the afternoon with them and eat some lunch!
The rest of our Easter was like a typical Sunday. We grocery shopped, we did laundry, cleaned, worked out and played with Jackson.
And of course, we made cookies and watched GOT! (Y’all. Still can’t get over that Arya scene. I shipped her and Gendry SO HARD but OMG she’s the baby of the show and I wasn’t ready for that. At all. HAHA)
How were your weekends? I hope they were filed with sunshine and family!
I’ll be back tomorrow with a special post for National Parks Week!
Until then, get outside and enjoy this gorgeous Earth day! Remember… our planet is an amazing place. Let’s keep it that way! (Get ready for an obnoxious amount of pictures of places where I’m convinced Mother Nature is just showing off.)
(You can read about all these places and more by click the “Travel” section at the top of the page!)
And for my friends that made it all the way to the bottom… have a great night. I’ll be back tomorrow!
