Oh my goodness. You guys. IT FEELS LIKE SPRING OUTSIDE. I’m not even kidding. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, and even though it’s a tad chilly, we’ve got all our windows open because it smells like fresh air. Honestly, I feel strange burning my Snow Mountain Lodge candle. Maybe I should be pulling out my all time favorite, Watermelon Lemonade?
It’s getting to the point that I think we might not get snow this winter in Detroit. I’m pretty sure that would be the first time in forever!
This weekend has been SO great even though I’ve been sick. I seriously forgot what it’s like to have an entire weekend at home to do whatever we wanted without any plans. It’s amazing how much time you have to do the things you need when you aren’t driving four hours on a Sunday or waking up on a Saturday and driving an hour to help out family for a day. (Not that we don’t love our family. It’s just really nice to finally get a few things done around our home and take some time to relax!)
Our weekend started out not great at all. Your girl was SICK. I hadn’t been feeling well at work, and I had to take a group of students that weren’t mine on a field trip. When you work a field trip, you don’t get a break. So I ended up working a 10 hour day with a fever and feeling like I was going to throw up all over. When I finally got home I just laid down and cried myself to sleep. Trev woke me up with Panera (mac and cheese to the rescue!) and some Parks and Rec. Once I had some food and medicine in me, I felt so much better! But I still turned in for the night by 8:00.

Saturday we woke up and I was feeling so much better! I was super thankful because we had a fun little date day planned. We were both going to work out, but given the state of my immune system (I was feeling better, but not 100%) I worked on stuff for my soon to be cousins Bridal Shower while Trev got his sweat on.
After his workout, he showered up and we headed to lunch in Ferndale at one of our favorite spots, Rosie O’Gradys. (They have the best cheeseburgers and grilled cheese!) Then, we headed back to UDM for the Basketball Game.

Saturday night we ate dinner in, listened to some Small Town Murder and worked on our puzzle like the true 89 year olds we are.
Today we spent our morning laying in bed with coffee and reading. I mean, talk about the most perfect start to a Sunday! (I’m reading the BEST book from a new author!) We also cleaned the house, grocery shopped, did laundry, meal prepped and got ourselves ready for next week. And it’s only 3:00! We’ve got the rest of the afternoon to relax AND in the spirit of Spring, I just might start Spring Cleaning my closet. I’m really trying to declutter this year and since my closet looks like a tornado blew through it, I’m thinking that’s the best place to start!
How were your weekends?! I hope wherever you are the in the world, you got a little bit of sunshine and a lotta bit of fun!
I’ll be back tomorrow to share my annual Winter Bucket list! But, who knows if I’ll even be able to complete it this year? I’m def. going to be digging into the archives for some snowy pics!
Have a great rest of you weekend everyone. I’ll be back tomorrow!
Xx.

Your weekend sounds so relaxing. My weekend was not busy but not exactly relaxing either. On Saturdays I take my 3 year old to a mom and tot gymnastics class and the I work out at my sister’s gym (something new I started). I got to spend time with my niece while my sister and brother in law went on a date for their anniversary. Unfortunately my oldest son was sick all night so the fun stopped late last night and today it’s been cleaning and sanitizing all day to try and keep this bug from spreading. I’m glad your feeling better and were able to rest up. Have a great week!
