#WhatUpWednesday

Brrrr! Happy Chilly Wednesday my friends! It feels like Old Man Winter has made his way to Michigan early this year. I’m writing to you today bundled up like Ralphie’s brother on a Christmas Story. No joke!

Another Wednesday is here and I’m back to tell you what’s up in my life!

What I’m Wearing

My favorite coat and winter boots pictured above!

Any and all things cozy! I’m bundling up every day I walk out the door in my favorite cold weather gear from last winter. I wear these boots practically every day because they are so warm and cozy! They honestly feel like I’m wearing slippers all day and I love them. When the snow starts to fall, I switch to these Sorel boots. They are the only boots I’ve ever owned that have held up through multiple Michigan winters and are 100% worth every penny. I’m still cozying up in this super cute jacket I picked up last year at Hollister. I think it’s just the right amount of cozy and warm! I’m also still wearing my favorite blanket scarf I picked up a while back at Target (you can find similar here) and my favorite hat (similar here) from a small shop in Northern Michigan.

What I’m Eating

As the weather gets colder, our food goes from Uber healthy chicken and fresh veggies nightly to cozy comfort food. We’ve been making soups, chili, grilled cheese and pasta  like nobody’s business! My favorite question right now?

What I’m Watching

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix! Y’all. I’m OBSESSED. It’s so good! If you like Riverdale or Stranger Things, this is the show for you. I started earlier this month and instantly was hooked. I just got really busy and wasn’t able to finish it until last weekend. I stayed up until 2 am on Saturday because I literally couldn’t bring myself to turn off the tv. I highly recommend checking it out before their Holiday special comes out on December 15th!

What I’m Excited About

8 MORE SLEEPS.

Thanksgiving! Exactly one week from today I’ll be battling it out on the road with approximately a million other people trying to make it home by dinner time. (Don’t worry, I’m armed with tips and tricks to get me there in one, sane piece. Have you seen yesterday’s post yet?! You’ll want to if you’re traveling next week!) I literally can’t wait to go home. My favorite things about holidays in Manistee (like Thanksgiving and Christmas) is that they are full of traditions. I know that we are going to do the same exact thing that we’ve done every year and I find so much comfort in that. Just thinking about our Thanksgiving traditions gives me all the warm, cozy feelings and I’m in need of a weekend that’s filled with no worries, happiness, family and food. Next Wednesday can’t get here soon enough!

So my friends, What’s Up in your lives?!

I’ll be back TOMORROW sharing a few Thanksgiving Recipes that I know you’re going to love. I’ll talk to you then!

Xx.
