Hey Hey Loves! I hope you are all having an absolutely wonderful Sunday! I’m sitting a little bit sunburned, a little bit bug bitten and a lot bit exhausted. But those have to be signs of a great weekend, am I right?!
My weekend started our late on Friday because I closed at work. I had what felt like a marathon week, and was SO excited to get home for a night in with Trev. We decided to do date night on the couch. We had salads, tortellini and garlic bread while we snuggled on the couch and watched Parks and Rec.
Saturday we were up early for Date Day! One of our Christmas presents from my parents last year was a Kayak Tour on Belle Isle with Riverside Kayak Connection. We had SO much fun!
We spent the morning kayaking from the Kayak Beach, up the Detroit River, into Lake St. Clair and the Blue Heron Lagoon. We had so much fun!
When our tour was over, we had a picnic at Sunset Point and then spent the afternoon exploring Belle Isle! I’m just sharing one photo today, because tomorrow’s post will be all about Belle Isle!
When we left Belle Isle we headed to Atwater Brewing for some delicious beers and snacks on the patio.
Then, we ended our date day the way every date should end… at Ikea! We needed new dish towels (so exciting, I know). It was easily the cheapest trip we’ve ever made to Ikea! However, we did find a couch we really loved (it was super comfy!) and had a v. hard time leaving it behind!
Today, we were up early to head to work at Comerica. The Tigs took on the Indians and lost so.dang.badly. But in happier news, I got to take my break with this handsome guy!
PS… I just found out that we can buy Ballpark Food for literally a dollar!
As soon as we left the Ballpark we headed to the grocery store, finished our laundry and meal prepped for the week.
Now, I’m snuggled in watching YouTube videos (so many good Fall Hauls out this week!) and trying not to fall asleep before 8:00 pm.
