Happy, happy Sunday my loves! It is SO sunny here today and it’s got me reallllly wishing for some warmer weather! It also doesn’t help 90% of the people I know from back home are on Spring Break rn in sunny locations and I’m just really feeling like I need to be laying on a beach!
But… I’m not. I’m stuck here in Metro Detroit, trying to make the best of it and forcing myself to smile through the day when really, I’m feeling sorry for myself. (I’m the worst. I know.)
However, this weekend brought me some real smiles and a lot of fun!
My weekend actually started during my lunch break on Friday! Trev didn’t have to work because all his teams were out of town, so he surprised me by picking me up and taking me out for tacos!
It was the most PERFECT surprise, and exactly what I needed to get through the rest of my day!
Friday night is always date night for us when we’re home and not traveling. This week, instead of going out to dinner, we decided to order some wings and watch March Madness from the comforts of our couch! We love wings from one of our favorite pizza places, Slice of the 80s. (We love literally everything they make!) And when we went to pick them up, THEY GAVE US AN EXTRA LARGE PIZZA FOR FREE. (You’ve heard this story if you follow me on insta. If not, you should! I’m @savannah_edmondson!) They messed up someone else’s order so they gave it to us. I guess I’m not allowed to say we aren’t lucky anymore 🙂
Saturday, we were up early to head to Grand Rapids! We were meeting my parents for the day. I was getting my hair done, and Trev was going shopping for the boat with my Dad. We met up with my parents and Uccellos in Rockford for lunch.
Then, the guys went there way, and my mom came with me to my hair appointment! I went to see Angie, who has been cutting my hair since I was in college. She nails it every.single.time guys! I was so sick of my hair. I hadn’t had it cut in wayyyy too long, and it was looking awful! I asked for long layers and balayage and guys… LOOK HOW PERFECT AND PRETTY!

It looks so natural and sunkissed and I seriously can’t tell you how much I love it! If you’re in the GR area, you need to book an appointment with her stat! (Tell her I sent you!) Find out more about her adorable salon (it’s in the basement of her house) here!
After my hair appointment we met up at my cousin’s apartment and all headed out to dinner at one of Trev and I’s old stompin’ grounds… The Woods! Then, we stopped to enjoy the skyline of one of our favorite cities before heading back to Detroit.
Today, we slept in and then headed to Toledo (we’ve got some serious miles under our butts this weekend) to visit Trev’s grandma! She’s doing A LOT better than the last time we saw her. Look how excited she was to see Trev!
Andddd it just so happened that our favorite little peanut was there to visit her Great Grandma at the same time! We were soooo excited to see our sweet niece!

Then, we stopped by his parents house to help do a few things before coming home and finishing up our usual Sunday activities! Trev did the grocery shopping and laundry, while I prepped for our big Spring Celebration at work tomorrow, and made playdough. So.Much.Playdough.
And now, we’re heating up leftover pizza and enjoying the sunshine from the living room (it’s way too cold to be out on the porch) to finish out our weekend.
How was your weekend?!
I’m back tomorrow with a Mitten Monday post. I’ll talk to you then 🙂
Xx.
