#WhatUpWednesday

Hey Loves!  I’m back with another round of #WhatUpWednesday to share with you all the things I’m currently loving in my life!

What I Miss

WARM WEATHER. Hence, the summer featured photo. We’ve been in the “subzero” windchill zone for 2+ weeks now and everything hurts when I walk outside! Someone get me to 80 degrees and sunshine, stat!

What I’m Excited About

Eeeek! I’m going HOME on Friday and I can’t wait to see my family and my puppies! I haven’t been home since Christmas and I miss them all so much. I always start to feel slightly “off” when I go too long without taking a trip Up North. It will be so good for my soul. Friday night can’t get here soon enough!

What I’m Watching

You guys. I JUST CAN’T EVEN WITH THIS SEASON OF THE BACHELOR. I’m seriously not digging Arie at all. Luckily, I really like some of the girls on it. They’re entertaining, and make it watchable. I’m counting down the days until Bachelor Winter Games because I think that will be a thousand times better! Now that I’ve got that out of the way… I’m watching the internet A LOT lately. Why? Because I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF KYLIE IS PREGNANT. Like c’mon girl. Just tell us so we can move on with our daily lives.

What I’m Eating

Sweet Potatoes! If you know me personally, you’re probably thinking, WTF? You know I don’t like sweet potatoes at all. Well, Trev has two different ways that he makes them and I can’t get enough of them! They are more “savory” than “sweet” and I’ve literally eaten a bowl of sweet potatoes the past few nights for dinner. I shared one of the recipes as a Thanksgiving side dish, and you can find it here! We’ve also been making Parmesan Sweet Potatoes that are out of this world! If you’re interested in that recipe, let me know. And I’ll be happy to share it too!

What I’m Hating

My skin has been AWFUL this week y’all. Like, I’m seriously SO OVER this weather. My skin is oily in it’s normal places, extra dry and irritated in others and even thought I’ve been washing my face and keeping up with my skin care routine, I still have a really cute breakout. My skin does this to me every year around this time. So. Annoying. However, I am LOVING that I have to force myself to take some “Me Time” to do a face mask every couple nights 🙂 Speaking of Face Masks… if you’re looking for a possible dupe for our ever loved GlamGlow masks, be sure to check back TOMORROW.

What I’m Working On

DIYs! So many DIY ideas have been popping into my head and across my feeds that I can’t even stand it! I’m absolutely itching to do another DIY soon. It’s just getting my hubby and I some free time where we can actually sit down and complete a project so they aren’t laying all over our house! Speaking of DIYs…

What I’m Reminiscing About

Do you remember when I shared this DIY Wood Sign with you? Well, about a month after we hung it, the paper started to bubble and I couldn’t stand it. I wasn’t really happy with the sign as it was (the writing printed too small and I didn’t think it looked right) but I hung it up anyways. Well, the sign came down for Fall and Christmas and when I pulled it out after putting away our Christmas decor, I shuddered thinking about putting it back up when it looked so bad! So I decided to fix it and I’m SO happy with it now!

Isn’t it so much better? Here is the easy fix if you made this sign and yours bubbled too!

  1. Remove the staples you used to secure the sign together.
  2. Peel the paper from the plywood, and remove any extra tape that may still be there.
  3. Paint your plywood! (I used my go to Behr Marquee Interior Matte in Ultra Pure White.)
  4. While your paint dries, create a stencil. I talked about how to make your own stencils here! For this sign, I used the “Isabella Script” font I bought for my wedding from Creative Market. I typed out “it’s so good to be home” and ended up sizing it to right around 700. (This font is really small!)
  5. Print your stencil and trace it on to your plywood using carbon paper. (I had Trev help me line it up before I started tracing because he’s super precise about that kind of stuff!)
  6. Paint over your woods in black. (I also outlined my letters in black sharpie so they didn’t look as messy.)
  7. Reattach your frame.
  8. And boom! All better 🙂

What I’m Craving

You guys… I am seriously craving Big Al’s in the WORST way. Like I said before… is it Friday yet?!

So my friends, What’s Up in your lives?!

I’m back tomorrow with a post I really think you’re going to love! (Especially if you like saving money… and your skin.) Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday. We’ve made it half way through the week!

Xx.
Savannah
