Oh my gosh. You guys. How is it already the last day of 2017?! I can’t believe how quickly this year flew by! And honestly… I’m kind of glad. 2017 was SO NOT my year. Like seriously. I read my Best of 2016 post just before I started writing this and realized my year last year was SO much cooler.
Every year, I get a little bit nervous to leave the year behind us and jump into a new year filled with uncertainties, unknowns and new challenges. But this year? I’m ready to leave 2017 behind. 2018 is going to be our year. I can just feel it.
On a side note, before I get to recapping my year, today is a super special day for me and my hubby! SEVEN years ago today (how has it been that long?!) we went on our very first date. Little did we know way back then, it would be our very last first date ever. Kind of crazy to think about! We went out with our friends to ring in 2011. And even though he got us kicked out of the bar (long story!) we’ve been inseparable since that night. So cheers to seven years of laughs, adventures and love, Babe. I’m so happy I get to do life with you!
Thank you all for joining me for 2017! I’m so happy that you’re here, and that we’re going to be ringing in 2018 together. I hope that 2018 brings you 12 months of success, 52 weeks of laughter, 365 days of good luck, 8760 hours of fun, 525600 minutes of joy, 31536000 seconds of love and 1 whole year of happiness!
I’ll talk to you next year 😉
Xx.

January
We started out the year ringing to 2017 with our family and friends!

We spent a few weekends filled with winter fun Up North.

And we did a DIY that we’re still crazy proud of!
We’re still so proud of this DIY! Check out our Ikea Rast Hack here!
February
February started out so good. Why? Because Tom Brady and The Patriots WON THE FREAKIN’ SUPER BOWL and I’m still so stoked about it! (Highlight of my year, maybe.)

We watched a lot of basketball.
And we had some really fun date nights exploring our “new” city.

March
In March, I made a drastic decision and chopped off my hair. (I loved it for a few weeks, then went right back to missing my long locks!)

We headed to see Trev’s basketball teams play in Motor City Madness.

And we spent a lot of time snuggled up at home relaxing and wishing we were headed somewhere warm!

April
April was hands down our laziest month! I was in a weird mood all month because I had just finished a long term sub job I really loved, and Trev was super busy with work. So all our weekends looked like this…
May
May brought us beautiful weather, and better spirits! We started May celebrating our favorite Veterans with Tight Lines for Troops. If you’re not sure what Tight Lines is, click here! It’s definitely worth the read!

We spent a lot of time outside in Northern Michigan. The weather was seriously SO gorgeous!
We celebrated Mother’s Day.
We saw two of my baby cousins graduate from high school.

And we spent a perfect Memorial Day Weekend Up North welcoming summer!

June
June was BY FAR the best month of the year! I started June with a trip to the Pictured Rocks with my parents! (Where we saw my third baby cousin graduate High School!)
We had the best time at The Pictured Rocks! Check out all my UP/ Pictured Rocks posts here.
Savannah Said It turned ONE YEAR old!
We celebrated Trev’s 29th birthday!
And a few days later… we celebrated our First Anniversary!
Our cake was just as amazing One Year later! Check out how to freeze your cake here.
We took a weekend getaway back up to Glen Arbor for an anniversary weekend stay at The Homestead.
Check out our anniversary weekend getaway here!
We celebrated Father’s Day.
We FINALLY made it to Short’s Brewing!
We love Short’s! Read all about it here.
We celebrated the first official day of Summer!
We visited Trev’s family in Grayling.
And we started summer jobs working at Comerica Park!
July
We stayed busy through the month of July, but not too busy to enjoy every bit of Summer! We headed North for the Fourth.
We built the most beautiful shelf!
You should make this shelf too! It’ll only cost you $20! Find out how here.
We spent a lot of time on the beach.
And even more time at the ballpark.
And I made a few weekend trips home to spend some time in my favorite place.
August
When August rolled around, I couldn’t believe how quickly my summer had gotten away from me. I was determined to make the absolute most of it! I started crossing off my summer bucket list with a trip to Moomers.
I Sunday-ed SO hard.
I collabed with Shutterfly!
I spent a lot of time at Comerica Park.
I swam in Lake Michigan.
We watched the Eclipse!
We celebrated Grandma Klump’s 91st birthday!
And we saw the Mudhens in action.
September
We started September with a PERFECT LDW Up North.
We celebrated my 28th Birthday!
We worked out last game of the season at Comerica.
And I started a new job!
October
October brought us Fall… my favorite time of year! We started October with a trip to The Hocking Hills for my Birthday!
I freakin’ love the Hocking Hills! Find all most Hocking Hills posts here!
And then we celebrated my birthday for a third weekend in a row Up North!
We went to a Pumpkin Patch.
We celebrated the end of a super fun season with our new friends from The Tigers.
We went to an Apple Orchard.
And checked out the Appleumpkin Festival.
We took a Fall Color Tour Up North.
My family and I had girls weekend in Grand Rapids to see Wicked!
And we became an Aunt and Uncle!
November
We finished out fall with a pretty dang perfect November. I got to collab with Shari’s Berries!
We took our annual trip Frankenmuth.
We got tons of baby snugs.
We celebrated Thanksgiving!
And scored major deals Black Friday shopping.
And we spent a lot of time snuggling. Because snuggling is the best in the Fall 🙂

December
And December? Well December was giant mush of Christmas fun. While I still feel like I didn’t get to do everything I love to do at Christmas time, and Christmas didn’t feel like it even came this year, we still had a pretty awesome December. Trev FINALLY made it to her first Sleighbell Parade! (I’ve only been trying to get him to go for 7 years HAHA)
We sent out Christmas cards.
I did some Christmas DIYs.
Now is a perfect time to recreate these DIYs because literally all the Christmas stuff is on sale at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby! Find the wreath here and the Christmas scroll here!
We celebrated Emmy’s first Christmas.
We saw The Lights Before Christmas in Toledo.
And of course, we celebrated Christmas!
Like I mentioned before… 2017 wasn’t our best year. But we sure did make a lot wonderful memories. And everything you just read? It wasn’t even half of the things I blogged about this year! From DIYs to Travel Posts, Weekend Round Ups to Recipes and everything in between, you’ll find every 2017 post below! (Or use the search bar to your right to find specific posts!)
Alright guys. I’m officially read to say goodbye to 2017! How are we celebrating tonight?! We’re ending the year like the Old Married Couple we are. Snuggled in at home with lots of food, drinks, puzzles and each other. Have a safe and wonderful New Year friends! I’ll see you 2018!
