Oh. My. God. You guys. How is it possible it’s time to share my Best of Fall 2017 post already?! It legit flew by. I feel like I blinked and fall was completely gone. I’ve been so busy adjusting to my new job that I don’t think I really got a chance to enjoy Fall like I normally do. So to be totally honest, I’m already looking forward to next September so I can live Fall to the Fullest like I try to do as each season comes by. Now, I know that fall TECHNICALLY doesn’t end up December 20th. But in my mind, Fall is over on the last day of November. I mean… who still thinks about Fall when the Christmas Carols start the day after Thanksgiving?!
September was an absolute whirlwind of a month for us.
September started with Labor Day Weekend. We LOVE LDW because it means one more weekend of Summertime in Northern Michigan. We watched sunsets, went rock hunting, sat around the fire and ate a bunch of s’mores.

Trev’s athletes were back on campus and ready to get bigger, faster and stronger. He took on the Men’s and Women’s soccer teams and we watched A LOT of soccer.
I started my first teaching job! I was so unsure about it all. I’d never been a preschool teacher, and was so worried I wouldn’t like it / wouldn’t do a good job. And while I still don’t love the hours I work, I can honestly say that I love my job. My kids are the best. And I look forward to going to work every single day!
We celebrated Jacksy’s Birthday.
We worked our last game of the season at Comerica Park.
And, we celebrated my birthday!
And in the blink of an eye, it was October!
… which we started in the best way possible… with a mini vacation! We headed to the Hocking Hills for a long weekend of hiking and being outside. Two of our absolute favorite things!
We also headed Up North to celebrate my birthday! (How lucky am I?! I got to be the birthday girl three weekends in a row!)
We visited a pumpkin patch.
We celebrated an awesome season with our new friends from the Tigers.
We went to the Appleumpkin Festival.
And visited an Apple Orchard.
We spent another awesome weekend Up North.
We went to Traverse City.
We had one last Fall fire.
I saw Wicked!
And… we became and Aunt and Uncle!
Before we knew it, it was already November!
We took our annual trip to Frankenmuth.
I collabed with Shari’s Berries!
We celebrated Thanksgiving with Trev’s family.
We decorated for Christmas!
And we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family!
Our Fall definitely didn’t go like we had pictured, and it was crazy stressful. However, we made the best of it, we still had fun, and we had each other to hold on to through the crazy whirlwind that was Fall 2017!
Our last few months have been so dang busy! And unfortunately for us, we aren’t slowing down anytime soon. However, the BEST season is officially here, and we are ready to full on embrace CHRISTMAS!!!!
