5 Foundations for Your Wedding Day

Hey there Lovelies! I’m back today with a super quick post for all you lovely Brides! I’ve mentioned before on this blog that I preferred to do my own makeup on my big day. Why? Because I wanted to look like me. And, I knew I could use products that worked on the oil pit that is my skin.

So, for all your Brides that are looking for the perfect foundation for your big day… I feel you. You want something that doesn’t look full coverage, but will stay on through all the hugs, kisses, sweat and tears. For me, it was Estee Lauder. Without a doubt. No questions asked. But it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Ready to find the perfect foundation to give you a flawless base on your big day? Here are 5 foundations I’d wear without a doubt on my big day. (Or any day, really. Because I just really love all these foundations!)

Estee Lauder Double Wear. If you’ve been with me awhile, you KNOW that I love me some Double Wear. It is easily my favorite foundation because it stays on me all.day.long. And no. I’m not exaggerating. It literally doesn’t budge, and it makes my skin look flawless. And a big bonus? It doesn’t look cakey in person. I will caution you this… while it looks amazing in pictures during the day, it can give major flashback in dark photos. So if you’re getting married at night, I would steer clear of this one. Grab it it here for $42.

L’Oreal Infallible. This one is perfect if you want the same look/feel of the Estee Lauder Double Wear without the $42 price tag. L’Oreal’s Infallible is a great dupe for Double Wear both in coverage and lasting power. I will say, it doesn’t last on me quite as long, but it will last you through your wedding day! Especially if you pair a really great setting powder with it. (You know I love this one!) Head to the Drugstore or grab it at Ulta for $12.99.

Anastasia Stick Foundation. If you’re not oily, this is the perfect foundation for you! This foundation is beautiful and SO easy to use. My oil comes through by the end of the night when I wear this, but if you have normal skin, you’ll be good to go! It doesn’t feel like you’re wearing ANYTHING and it looks beautiful in natural light. Buy it here for $25.

Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation. I’m sure if you watch Makeup YouTube videos you’ve heard the hype on this one. This makeup looks great on the skin, and really great on camera. I was scared to try it because I literally hate anything that makes my skin look oilier than it is. I can tell you this… I wouldn’t wear it in the summer. But it’s perfect for this time of year! It’s quickly become my favorite every day foundation as the weather is starting to cool down. If you don’t have oily skin, you’ll love this all year long. I’m not usually a fan of Covergirl foundations, but this one is great! Grab it at your Drugstore or at Ulta for $11.99!

YSL All Hours Foundation. I’m not usually one to tell you to spend $58 on a foundation. But, if your looking for a little luxury on your Wedding day, this foundation is for you. The claims on this one seem awful lofty, but it totally lives up to it’s hype. This one also looks real pretty in natural lighting and does a great job combating oil. You’ll love this foundation, and I 100% believe it is worth the money. Find it here for $58.

And I know I sound like a beaten record saying this… but whatever you do, use a really good primer or two and an even better setting powder to make your foundation last. And if always, always, always, ALWAYS TEST OUT YOUR MAKEUP BEFORE YOUR BIG DAY. Wear your makeup everywhere you go to make sure you’ve got the exact right combination of products. Take photos in it, work out in it, blot, do everything you can to make sure you have products you love and trust on your big day.

What are your favorite foundations for long wear?!

I’m off to work Loves! I’ll be back tomorrow to round out the week with a really fun post.
