DIY Photo Booth Props

Hey hey! Happy Hump Day friends! We’re half way through the week which means the weekend is so close, we can practically taste it! And to help get you through until the weekend, I’ve got a crazy fun DIY for you! I know… you’re used to seeing wedding posts on Wednesdays. And this totally can be a wedding thing… but it’s also a party thing too!

Everyone knows that a Photo Booth makes any party more fun! The only downside? They can be expensive to rent. However, SO many people have found easy ways to DIY them. From easy back drops and portable printers, to Polaroids and props, Pinterest is brimming with ideas. And today, I’m here to share one more with you!

The lovely people at Shutterfly reached out to me a few weeks ago with 100% FREE printable photo booth props! Nope. You didn’t read that wrong… you can get these props for free.

Now, if you’ve done any type of research on photo booth props, you know they can get expensive. While Etsy sellers have so many adorable ones, the last thing you want to do is pay $10 per download on top of all your other expenses. I know what you’re thinking… if these props are free, they must not be very good quality. That’s where you’re wrong.

These props are ADORABLE. They’re super easy to print, assemble and use. Just to prove how easy it is… I made my mom do a photo shoot with me. (She was thrilled, let me tell you! hahaha)

Look at all those themes! While they technically offer these as “wedding” photo booth props, I think they’d be perfect for any type of party! Is your little one having an animal themed birthday? They have props for that. Want to add a little pumpkin spice to you Thanksgiving get together? They have fall props for that too.

I’ve got you interested now don’t I? Whether you want to let guests get silly with snap chat filters or to express themselves with emojis, Shutterfly has 65 FREE props that will make your party oh so memorable. Keep reading to see the props in action, and where you can download each theme! (PS… I just printed a few from each theme. Be sure to click the link to see them all!)

Summer Photo Props

These props were some of my favorite! They have a giant pineapple that is SO CUTE. These would be perfect for your end of the summer bbq… or your summery wedding! Find Summer props here.

Masquerade Photo Props

These props scream PROM to me. Find Masquerade props here.

Nautical Photo Props

These props were my favorite! I thought they were SO CUTE. Maybe it’s because I’m on a Nantucket kick right (thanks for that, Elin Hilderbrand!) and my favorite thing to look up on Pinterest is Nantucket Cottages. Which are full of chic nautical goodness. Find these adorable Nautical Props here.

Animal Mask Props

These masks just don’t scream wedding to me… they do however scream children’s birthday party! Your little ones will love these. Pinky promise! Find animal masks here.

Emoji Photo Props

Easily one of my proudest moments right here. (I wish I had an eye roll emoji prop.) Your wedding or party guests will LOVE expressing themselves with giant emojis. Find them here!

Snapchat Filter Photo Props

Because Snapchat has taught us all one thing… we look better with dog ears than we do without. Find Snapchat inspired props here.

Retro Inspired Photo Props

Why yes… that is a Tamagotchi in my hand. Find Retro props here.

Now that you’ve seen these great printables in action, let me show you just how easy they are to put together!

First, choose your favorite, download and print on white card stock. (Card stock is important… they will be to flimsy otherwise.)

Grab some scissors, glue or tape (Tape worked great for us because we were only using them once… however, I would highly recommend hot gluing or super gluing when setting them out for a wedding reception or party) and wooden dowels. (We just used wooden skewers. Again, they were perfect for what we needed them for. But for a sturdier stick, use a thicker wooden dowel.)

Cut and assemble.

And you’re good to go! And just to prove that DIY photo booths are easy peasy, check out this photo of us taking our pictures. We were in my parent’s living room, with all the lamps on, wrapping paper taped on the wall, and a camera on a tripod.

My mom and I had the BEST time with our DIY photo booth, and I know you (and your guests) will too!

So what do you think? Will you be trying these adorable props out too?! For more information on these fun props, click here.

I’m off to get some errands done today before a busy weekend of work starts tomorrow. Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday my friends!

*Thanks to Shutterfly for making this post possible.
