Wedding Registry 101: The Only Bathroom Registry You’ll Ever Need

Hi Guys! It feels like it’s been forever and a day since I’ve written a Wedding post! Last time, I brought you The Only Kitchen Registry You’ll Ever Need, and today, we’re taking it to the bathroom.

I know I know. You’re probably curious as to why I’m even sharing a bathroom registry. It’s pretty dang self explanatory. However, I truly believe that having a list is actual more crucial on the easiest tasks. Why? Because you tend to forget the easy things, because you’re so focused on the harder ones.

Now, if you read my Kitchen Registry post, you can skip these next two paragraphs.

The hardest part about registering for anything really was the insane amount of lists out there telling us what we needed to register for. Just typing in “Wedding Registry Checklist” on Pinterest gives you enough results that it would take you a solid year to get through each one. (Oh… if you’re here from Pinterest HIIII! I’m glad you found your way to Savannah Said It!)

Honestly, each list was a little bit different. We’d find one that seemed perfect, but then the next completely contradicted everything the first one said. One said we absolutely HAD to have a garlic press, the next? It wasn’t even on the “maybe” list. So, ever since we registered, I’ve been working my brain. I’ve been keeping notes of the things we really needed, the best registry advice we’ve gotten, and the things we didn’t register for that we really wished we had. It’s my goal in the series to make an easy list for you to follow, that is comprehensive and easy. And so, without further ado, I bring you…

The Only Bathroom Registry You’ll Ever Need

Ahhhh the bathroom. Easily one of my favorite rooms in the house. Why might you ask? I love to take baths! Give me a bath bomb, scalding hot water and a book, and I’ll sit there until I turn so prunie I’m barely recognizable.

Registering for your bathroom is easy peasy. It can be as simple as lots of fluffy towels or you can go all out and get everything you need for a picture perfect bathroom. The best thing for me about registering for our bathroom was that even though we aren’t living in a house yet, we could still register for items we know we’ll want in our Master Bath someday. Because most items are practical for your bathroom, they will pretty much fit any decor. (Unless you know, if you buy a super extravagant beach home and register for/ received woodsy bathroom decor with moose and deer on it.)

Here are the things you can’t forget when registering for your bathroom!

Towels If there is one thing you can’t NOT register for it’s towels. In fact, there may be no registry item more cliche than this one. The general rule of thumb is to register for 3 sets of towels. (This would give you 6 bath towels.) Your “set” should include bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes. Now, I use the term “set” loosely, because you may choose to register for items individually. Chances are, you will end up with more towels than you register for. So don’t stress too much about how many you put on your registry.

Bath Sheets You may have never heard of these. I know I hadn’t before I started registering. But guys… THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Seriously. Bath Sheets are basically extra big towels that you can wrap up in. They are so snuggly and I just can’t express how much I adore them now! Bath sheets don’t always come in your regular towel sets, so you may need to register for them separately. But trust me, you don’t want to live your life without them if you don’t have to!

Bath Rugs I’d register for one or two!

Tub Mats If you have little ones, or your shower is really slippery, register for a tub mat. It’s one of those things you never want to spend money on, or just completely forget about when you’re at the store. Someone will pick you one up to add to their gift. Don’t worry about it being too practical… a lot of people actually prefer to give you practical gifts!

Shower Curtain Unless you want your entire bathroom wet… you kinda need one.  And while you’re at it… you might as well register for some new Shower Curtain Rings too.

And now, all the “accessories” for your bathroom.

Bathroom accessories don’t only make your space prettier, they also are practical. I mean… you kind have to have a wastebasket in your bathroom. So you might as well choose a pretty one! Be sure to register for a Tumbler (or a cup whatever you want to call it), Soap Dish or Dispenser (unless you’re like me and prefer Bath and Bodyworks hand soaps), Tooth Brush Holder,  and a wastebasket. Other accessories that you may want to consider if you use them? Bathroom Furniture and Organization (like shelves), Scales (we don’t keep a scale in our house, but I know a lot of people do), Caddies (we got one of those corner ones and LOVE it), Hampers (if you keep yours in your bathroom), and Mirrors.

Now, keep in mind that if you’re registering for both a Master Bath and a Guest Bath, you might need to double up on a few things. You may also want to add a few decorative towels to the mix. (Everyone loves a cute decorative towel or two!)

Sickness Update: If I keep coughing like this… I’m going to have ABS OF STEEL for this summer. (JK I’m eating a french fry as I type this.) But seriously… I really hope I can shake this sickness soon. I’m tired of being up all night coughing!

I’ll be back tomorrow with one more post before the weekend. I’m not sure when it’ll go up… we’re heading Up North for Tightlines, so it’ll depend on when we leave / get there and get settled! But it will be up at some point! (Follow me on Insta for updates!)

Have a fantastic rest of your Wednesday my loves. And please stay safe! I hear the weather is pretty dang awful all across the midwest. Sending love and prayers your way that you and your loved ones are safe.
