Happy Sunny Sunday everyone!
You guys. My cabin fever has been completely cured thanks to the gorgeous weather we’ve had all weekend! I can’t get over that we’re being blessed with so much sunshine and warmth in February! I’m pretty sure this is a record for Michigan.
I’ve had SO MUCH FUN this weekend! The only thing missing was my hubby. I got to come home for a really long weekend. (So long I’m still here! I don’t have to leave until Tuesday.) I drove up as soon as I got out of work on Thursday. It was so nice because I didn’t hit any traffic, and made it home in record time.
Friday morning, I cut my hair! Okay. I didn’t cut it… but my stylist did. And she did AMAZING as always. If your in the Manistee area, and looking for someone to make your hair on point, go see Jamie at Harold’s Hairloft. She rocks! I cut off SIX inches of hair. And I’m loving my new lob!
After my haircut, my dad I spent the day together. We went to a few estate sales (didn’t find anything cool…) had some lunch, and took a few beach rides while my mom was at work. We finished the night with Big Al’s and ice cream… of course!
Saturday, we headed up the Leelanau Peninsula. Oh my gosh. We had the BEST weather and we had so much fun! I don’t want to talk TOO much about what we did, because you’ll be seeing blog posts on it later on. But just know, I tried a whole bunch of new restaurants, shopped in new stores and checked out some pretty awesome new views, all in the name of the blog. You’re welcome 😉
Saturday evening, my Gramps had his first bonfire of the year.
Today, my dad and I made a “meat run” to Dublin General. (If you’re not from Manistee County, this will make zero sense to you. But if you’re intrigued… come back tomorrow!) Then, we went to a surprise birthday party for my great uncle (he turned 80!) and we just got home from playing on the beach.
I’ve seriously had the greatest weekend. And looking around, it seems like everyone else has too! Nothing like a little sunshine and warm weather to boost your spirits, and help make it through until spring.
I hope you all have a long weekend too, and don’t have to work tomorrow! (Thank you, Presidents.)
I’m off to go grill and then snuggle in with the Hallmark Channel. When Calls The Heart comes back tonight and I’m so freakin’ pumped!
